Mens Skin Care TipsThe latest in Mens Skin Care TipsWhat's the difference between PROTECT and DEFEND? PROTECT, made with Hyaluronic Acid and Alpha Hydroxy acids, is recommended for normal, combination or oily skin types. (use sparingly) DEFEND was designed for skin that may be sensitive to Alpha Hydroxy acids. We recommend DEFEND for dry or sensitive skin types. DEFEND also provides SPF 15 sun protection. For normal skin, either moisturizer may be used. What's the difference between CLEAN and WASH? CLEAN, is made with Salicylic and Alpha Hydroxy acids. We recommend CLEAN for normal to oily skin types. WASH was designed for skin that may be sensitive to Alpha Hydroxy acids. We recommend WASH for dry or sensitive skin types. Dry Skin: Cleanse with a small amount of WASH twice a day. Apply CORRECT. Finish with a small amount of DEFEND. For the body, try the BODY BAR with Grapeseed Extract. Oily Skin: Cleanse your face with CLEAN twice a day. Use a very small amount of FIX on oily areas, then PROTECT on entire face. For additional treatment, apply REFRESH once or more each day. (If used in above regimen, apply REFRESH after washing with CLEAN.) Sensitive Skin: Wash your face with WASH, followed by CORRECT, once a day. Finish with small amounts of DEFEND. Combination Skin (Oily & Dry Areas): After washing with CLEAN, use CORRECT on your dry areas and FIX on your oily areas. Finish with a small amount of DEFEND or PROTECT. Small Bumps: Called "Milla," these bumps, are oil deposits. The Alpha Hydroxy Acids in CLEAN and PROTECT can help dissolve them. Blackheads: CLEAN and FIX help dissolve blackheads. SCRUB helps remove them and prvent new ones from forming. Whiteheads: PROTECT with Alpha Hydroxy acids will begin to eliminate whiteheads as it sloughs off layers of skin. FIX will help dissolve whiteheads. Acne: Wash with CLEAN. Use small amounts of PROTECT to moisturize. Use FIX directly on breakout areas. Avoid using SCRUB directly on acne. Acne Scars: The outside edges of the scar may be softened by the Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid in FIX and PROTECT. (Note: a scar cannot be completely eliminated without seeing a dermatologist.) Skin Discoloration: Groupings of melanin (pigment) can be slowly broken up with FIX and PROTECT. ZIRH on other parts of your body: Apply FIX to your back, shoulders, and chest and wash with and BODY BAR to help clear up blemishes. Apply CORRECT on dry skin on any area. Shaving Cuts/Nicks: Apply a few drops of PREPARE to a damp face before applying a very thin layer of SHAVE GEL or SHAVE CREAM. Rinse, then apply SOOTHE to entire face. Change your razor very frequently. Razor Burn: Apply PREPARE before shaving. Shave using see-through SHAVE GEL (for lighter beards) or SHAVE CREAM (for coarser beards). While shaving, remember to shave with the grain. Avoid tugging your skin. Shaving just out of the shower will help soften your beard with steam. Follow with SOOTHE to moisturize, or ERASE for more serious razorburn. Change your razor blade frequently. Shaving Bumps: Shaving bumps occur when your razor cuts tightly curled hairs in the beard, making the hairs curl back into the skin. Use FIX with Salicylic and Glycolic Acids, after you shave directly on affected area. Avoid stretching skin while shaving. ERASE, helps curled-back hair dislodge. To prevent, shave "with the grain" - not upwards on your face. Ingrown Hairs: Ingrown hairs occur while shaving. The hair is turned and pushed back into the skin. Dislodge the hair with FIX so it can be shaved off. For chronic ingrown hairs use FIX and then ERASE after shaving. If skin becomes dry, finish with adding CORRECT.
